KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A beauty store burglar ripped off two longtime business owners, but they didn't get away with much.

Net's House of Splendor, 6232 Troost Ave., has been at the same location for 58 years. They've been the victim of crime before, and it happened again early Tuesday morning.

Jim Bradley is the owner. He spent his day sweeping up glass and having the front door replaced after someone threw a brick through it at about 3 a.m.

They took off with anything they could get their hands on, including expensive curling irons and scissors which were later found in the street.

Bradley said the crooks tried to break into the back of the store at first but weren't successful, so they went around front.

He said he and his wife of more than 50 years have worked hard for this business, and he is not too happy with the person who did this.

"Really work hard and try to have something nice when somebody comes along and just trash it," he said.

Bradley said Kansas City police told him they think they found the crook. He says it was a 16-year-old boy.
