KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

One person is in custody Friday after a police chase through the metro.

The pursuit started in Pleasant Valley around 2:25 p.m., when police were making a welfare check on a suspect who had a warrant out for his arrest due to a felony charge.

The suspect barricaded himself in his car, a red two-door Acura.

While pursing the man, he hit a police officer in the 8100 block of NE Pleasant Valley Road.

The suspect was taken into custody at 96th and Flintlock.

Neither the suspect nor any officers were injured during the pursuit.
