Independence police trying to identify 2 suspects involved in armed robbery

INDEPENDENCE, MO (KCTV) -

The Independence Police Department is trying to find two people in connection with an armed robbery.

The robbery happened around 12:30 in the afternoon on Saturday at the 7-Eleven at 11001 E. 23rd St.

The first suspect is described as being a black man who had a blue hat and blue shirt covering his face.

The second suspect is a white woman who was wearing a red and black Angry Birds hat, a white shirt, and a black face covering. She was armed with a silver handgun.

Both suspects left the area on foot.
