The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two people on suspicion of abuse or neglect of a child.

On Tuesday deputies served a Livingston County Search Warrant at a location in Wheeling, MO for evidence related to a child abuse or neglect investigation.

Later that day deputies also served a Livingston County Arrest Warrant on Deven Paul Rose, 25, for alleged class C felony Abuse or Neglect of a Child.

His bond was also set at $5,000.

Authorities say that Rogers and her four children were living with Rose while her husband was working in Texas.

Rogers and Rose beat the children, and Rose threatened to beat the children with a baseball bat or knives when the children questioned them about the nature of their relationship.

Rose also threatened to attack police with knives if the children were to call them.

Both Rogers and Rose were transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.

The Child Advocacy Center and the Department of Family Services also assisted in the case.
