LEE'S SUMMIT, MO (KCTV) -

During a fundraiser to assist the family of a missing woman, members of the family spoke out on the search and the kind of woman she is.

Jessica Runions' cousins are hoping someone will come forward with key information that will bring her home.

Kimberly Newberry has fond memories of her cousin Jessica.

"She has a great sense of humor," Newberry said. "A wonderful smile. We all love her very much and we miss her. Jessica is a very honest, heartfelt and young woman."

The 21-year-old has been missing for more than 10 days. She was last seen the night September 8th, driving her 2012 Black Chevy Equinox.

Police later found her SUV on fire near 95th and Blue River.

Kylr Yust, currently in prison, has been charged with knowingly burning Runions' vehicle.

Tiffany Sims, another cousin of Runions', called the situation frustrating.

"It's so frustrating that there is so little you can do in this situation," Sims said. "We are just hoping and praying as her family that we can spread the word."

Searching for Runions has become expensive for the family.

That's why 13 businesses in Lee's Summit are coming together this week to assist the family.
