HARRISONVILLE, MO (KCTV) -

Law enforcement officers are looking for answers after a 32-year-old woman was found dead in a ditch in Cass County.

Identifying that woman as Megan Wheeler helps Cass County authorities immensely and allows them to figure out who she was and where she was on Saturday night.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office Last released a picture of Wheeler Monday night. Her family asked for privacy Tuesday, but a close friend says Wheeler was a great mother to her kids.

Neighbors said she and her fiance were raising several kids, but Cass County investigators still don't know how Wheeler died.

They say they've narrowed down where she was up until midnight Saturday. They're asking for help figuring out where she was Sunday morning and what was happening that night along the outer road where cyclists discovered her body.

"We have some information leading up to Saturday, taking care of that timeline. But we still don't have enough information about that evening. So what we're looking for is someone to give us an idea of what went on that day, leading up to that evening that might give us some ideas of what happened leading up to that point," said Lt. Kevin Tieman with the Cass County Sheriff's Office.

Wheeler was 32 years old. She lived less than two miles from the spot where her body was found.
