Bacon Cinnamon Rolls
1 - 8 ounce tube crescent rolls (try to find the no-seams version)
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons of crushed red hots candy
½ cup crumbled cooked bacon divided (preferably smoked)
Cream Cheese Frosting
¼ cup softened butter
? cup softened cream cheese
¾ cups powdered sugar
Set up grill for indirect heating at 375 degrees (or oven). Brush some of the melted butter on the bottom and sides of a 10 x 13 disposable aluminum pan. Unroll the crescent roll dough. Brush the surface of the dough with butter. Top the dough by evenly spreading the brown sugar, cinnamon, red hots and ¼ cup of the bacon. Starting from the long end, tightly roll the dough and brush with some butter. Cut the roll into 8 equal pieces. Place the pieces into the buttered pan and place on the grill (or in the oven) and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the tops are lightly browned.
While the rolls are baking, beat the butter, cream cheese and powdered sugar on medium high for three minutes. Fold in the last ¼ cup of bacon.
Spoon the icing on the rolls when they come out of the grill/oven. Enjoy warm.
