• 1 pint Heavy Whipping Cream
• salt is optional
Pour the cream into the bowl of a food processor fitted with the blade attachment. (If you want salted butter, add salt now). Turn on food processor and let it run for about 8 minutes or until butter solids are formed. Once the butter has formed stop the food processor. Pour the "buttermilk" into a jar or bottle fitted with a tight lid for storing up to 7 days, scoop out the butter into a bowl and use wooden spoon or rubber spatula to fold the butter together into a solid mass. You can store it in the bowl or roll it into a log and wrap it tightly in plastic wrap. Use as you would any butter. Use buttermilk as you would store bought.
