3-4 Large Fuji or Pink Lady Apples
1 Ready Made Pie Crust ( you can also use ready-made puff pastry crust)
1 bottle Ginger Ale (you can also use diet Ginger Ale)
Cut the apples in half. Core the apples and then thinly slice them. Place the apples slices in a pot and add enough ginger ale to cover all the apple slices. Bring mixture to a boil and then set to low and cook covered for
5-8 minutes or until the apple slices are tender. A key sign of the apples being ready is that they slightly bend when you pick them out from the ginger ale. Once the apples are ready, strain and cool them.
Roll out the pie crust. With a pastry brush, brush a layer of honey on the crust. Then sprinkle with as much cinnamon as you like. With a pizza roller, cut one inch strips of the pie crust.
Take the apple slices and lay them out on the pie crust strips that the ends overlap each other. Then, carefully roll up the pie crust strip with the apples inside and your end result should be something that looks like a rose.
Place the roses inside a well greased mini muffin pan and cook at 350 for approximately 25 minutes or just until the crust starts turning brown.
Remove the roses from the mini muffin pan, cool, and sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
