KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

The state of Kansas has shut down a consignment shop in Overland Park and seized the contents.

The Department of Revenue closed Great Finds LLC for not paying state sales tax and withholding taxes. State officials seized all known bank accounts, on-site cash, business inventory and personal property owned by Dana Cox.

The store is at 8722 Santa Fe Drive.

Jeannine Koranda, spokeswoman for the revenue department, said anyone with a ticket or something showing an item at the consignment shop belongs to them can get their property back.

Cox allegedly owed nearly $39,000 in back taxes.

An emotional Cox told KCTV5 Tuesday night that she had an arrangement with the state to get the issue resolved by noon Wednesday, and that she fully intends to keep that pledge. She also said will do right by her customers and vendors.

"I haven't done anything wrong," she said. "I am not making excuses. I have done everything I can to make this business successful. I am going to take care of my customers."

She said issues with her bookkeeper and landlord and the faltering economy led to the financial issues, but she said she vows to keep doing estate sales.
