KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

With the Kansas City Royals now in San Francisco, many fans are also traveling to watch their team play in person.

Friday the Kansas City International Airport was filled with people trying to catch last-minute flights.

At the Southwest terminal, everything is decked out in Royals blue, minus a few Halloween decorations. Fans have been streaming through the terminal, catching flights to San Francisco to cheer on the boys in blue as they try to take the lead in the World Series.

Flying to San Francisco isn't cheap. Ticket prices for a one-way flight leaving Friday from KCI to San Francisco International Airport start at about $180 and go up.

“I think the total, round trip, was $1,100 combined,” said fan Chris Fink. “We're coming back Tuesday, that's why we're debating coming back early.”

Some people found other ways to make their trip less expensive.

“Actually, I got points. We had Southwest Airline points, used the points for that. We used points for our hotel, so we're out for the tickets and the entertainment,” Steve Johns said.

“We actually had some travel points built up, so just the tickets to the game (cost us money),” Becky Eakins said.

Friday night's game against the Giants starts at 7:07 p.m. Central. Game 4 is Saturday and Game 5 is Sunday. Both also start at 7:07 p.m. Central.
