KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

There were just over 40,000 fans at Kauffman Stadium Wednesday night for Game 2 of the World Series and every single one of them has a story, but one little boy really stole the spotlight.

KCTV5 has featured Noah Wilson in previous stories. The little boy is fighting cancer, but hasn't let that stop him from helping others. After a neighbor's campaign to raise money to get Noah and his family tickets to the World Series got national attention, StubHub and New York Yankees former manager Joe Torre got involved and donated tickets.

The entire Wilson family took in Game 2 on Wednesday.

"It helped to watch the Royals in the hospital, it gave him something to take his mind off what was going on. Some of those times he was actually getting chemo during the games, so it gave him something to look forward to," said Deb Wilson, Noah's mother.

Noah is a bit bashful, but he's been through a lot. The 6-year-old is fighting bone cancer.

"Today honestly he wasn't really feeling well earlier today. We kind of just rested and took his temperature a couple times, gave him some medicine to get his stomach to feel better. It took a little bit for him to rest up to get here tonight, but we're excited to be here," Deb Wilson said.

The Wilson family has not met all of the groups responsible for making Noah's dream come true, but had a message for everyone involved.

"You're helping us make lifelong memories. Noah's going to remember this, all of our kids will remember this their whole life, so thank you so much," said Scott Wilson, Noah's father.

"It's just incredible to even think about so we are very excited to be here and thankful for everyone," Deb Wilson said.

After the Wilson family went into the stadium, they posted a picture on Facebook of them and Torre.

The family said it just warmed their hearts knowing that the compassion of others helped make the little boy's dream possible.
