KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

After weeks of prepping around the clock, vendors and chefs at Kauffman Stadium are ready to host the Kansas City Royals first American League Championship Series home game in 29 long years.

The Royals are rolling out all the merchandise they can, which includes blankets and ponchos for Monday night's game. They are also showing off a brand new fall menu.

"It is starting to get a little cooler ... nothing says warm, happy food like October baseball. We're here to warm up the fans," said James Mehne, Aramark executive chef at Kauffman Stadium.

The Royal Bacon Blue Dog, Kansas City Dog and Pulled Pork Mac & Jack Sausage Dog are putting a new twist on a ballpark classic. They are all ALCS menu items.

Here are the sections in the ballpark where you can find these new items:

  • Smoked Crown Chili: KC burnt ends, smoked white beans, Boulevard IPA, smoked gouda, chopped onion (location: Hot Corner Grill-Gate B Gate D; Crown Classic Sections 403, 437; Leinenkugel Lodge behind the outfield Scoreboard)
  • Cheesy Corn Brisket-acho: Crips tortilla chips topped with smoked brisket, baked beans, cheesy corn, coleslaw and barbecue sauce (Location: KC Cantina-Sections 232, 236, 220, 427; Sweet Baby Rays-Sections 251, 220, 422)
  • Royal Bacon Blue Dog: An all-beef hot dog topped with blue cheese sauce, chopped bacon and red onion. (Location: Dugout Doghouse- Sections 201, 248)
  • Kansas City Dog: An all-beef hot dog topped with Swiss cheese, grilled sauerkraut and Boulevard Pale Ale Mustard. (Location: Dugout Doghouse- Sections 201, 248)
  • Pulled Pork Mac & Jack Sausage: Pepper Jack Sausage topped with smoked pulled pork, mac-n-cheese and bacon (Location: Hot Corner Grill- Sections 221, 234)

"We've got our smoked Crown Chili with Kansas City burnt ends and smoked white beans, some cinnamon chipotle ancho. A really unique flavor profile" Mehne said.

Mehne said 900 employees expect to serve 800 pounds of brisket, 200 racks of ribs, 7,500 hot dogs, 4,000 orders of nachos and 1,400 pounds of peanuts.

"We are trying to bring the flavors of Kansas City into the park. We know we are going to have a lot of guests coming from all over the country, and we want to show them what we do," Mehne said.

Aramark crews have also been working around the clock to keep merchandise stocked inside stadium stores.

"The store has been busy all the way through starting at 9 a.m. The foot traffic has been non-stop," said Brett Salzenstein, retail division manager for Aramark at Kauffman Stadium.

The top-selling item is the "Party Like it's 1985" T-shirt.

"We have a lot of stadium exclusives here at the stadium. Everything Under Armour, you're going to find it at the stadium. They actually print it right here in Kansas City, so I can place an order today and get more goods in tomorrow," Salzenstein said.

Crews want to meet fans' needs so the Royals fan base can focus on being fans. To keep all those fans happy, they will have 120 in-seat vendors serving up food and drinks.

The stadium holds 32 permanent and 30 portable concession stands and two restaurants.

Aramark is Kauffman Stadium's exclusive food and beverage and retail partner.
