(CNN) – An audio recording, allegedly of the moment Michael Brown was shot, has surfaced.

Brown is the unarmed 18-year-old man fatally shot by Officer Darren Wilson on Aug. 9, prompting outrage and nightly protests in Ferguson, MO.

In the recording, a series of gunshots can be heard in the background as a man records a video chat.

In the recording, the man says: “You are pretty, you are so fine, just going on some of your videos. How could I forget?” In the background, you hear several gunshots.

CNN cannot and has not independently verified the authenticity of the tape. CNN has reached out to the FBI for confirmation of their interview with the Ferguson resident who said he made them recording.

That man, who has chosen not to be identified, has hired an attorney to represent him.
