FBI investigates serial bank robber

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is offering an award up to $3,000 to help identify the individual responsible for a series of bank robberies.

The FBI believes he committed three area robberies this spring: March 19 at the Bank of America at 10100 Missouri 350 in Raytown; April 11 at Citizens Bank and Trust at 4911 North Oak Trafficway in Kansas City, MO; and April 17 at Bank of the West at 5245 N.W. 64th St. in Kansas City, MO.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25 to 30 years old and about 6' to 6'2" with a medium build. In all three robberies, the suspect shows a demand note and threatens a weapon. The suspect has run from each bank on foot.

Anyone with information about any of these robberies is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
