TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Arizona's men's basketball team unveiled five brand-new uniforms on Wednesday.

The uniforms will be worn beginning this season. There are two all-white home uniform combinations, one with red lettering and trim and one with blue lettering and trim. There is an all-red uniform and an all-blue uniform that will be worn away from the McKale Center. There is also an alternate gray uniform with red trim.

Another highlight of the new gear: 'CATS' lettering down the side of the shorts. The 'Cats' lettering was a popular touch on older Arizona uniforms, but was removed when the Wildcats received new apparel during the 2011-12 season.

“Our entire team is excited about receiving these new uniforms,” senior T.J. McConnell said in a press release. “Not only are they going to look great, but the technology that went into making them will benefit us on the court. So many great players in Arizona history wore similar uniforms, and it's nice to be able to honor them while we try to do some of the same great things on the court.”
