JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) -

With no competition for the only statewide office on Missouri's primary ballot, proposals affecting roads and farms have commanded much of the attention heading into the election.

Voters are deciding Tuesday whether to impose a three-quarters of a cent sales tax to fund more than 800 highway and transportation projects over the next decade. It's forecast to raise at least $540 million annually.

A proposed constitutional right to farm amendment also has attracted a lot of advertising attention from supporters and opponents.

There is no primary challenge to Missouri Auditor Tom Schweich, who is the only statewide official up for re-election.

Other ballot proposals would create a Lottery game benefiting veterans' nursing homes and enhance constitutional protections for the owners of guns, cellphones and other electronic data.
