Savory Beef Roast Dinner


  • 3 lb. Beef Chuck or Arm Roast
  • 4 cups Beef Broth
  • 1 cup Red Wine
  • 1 Medium Onion – sliced
  • 2 Large Carrots - peeled and sliced
  • 3 Celery Stalks - sliced
  • 1 ½  Tbs. Worcester Sauce
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 1 Tbs. Olive Oil
  • Soup spice blend as needed


Remove beef from refrigeration and let rest 20 minutes. Now season meat with soup spice blend and in a large skillet, heat the olive oil and pan sear on all sides.  Now mix together all vegetables in a mixing bowl and season with spice blend. Pour all vegetables in the bottom of the crock pot. Place roast on top, splash with Worcestershire sauce. Put bay leaf in pot and sprinkle in more spice blend.

Next add all remaining ingredients to the crock pot, cook on high for 1 hour, then reduce heat to low and cook 7 more hours. The meat will be very tender and delicious! Because of the juicy broth you will need to use large soup bowls for serving.
