4 wildfires burn in Prescott National Forest

Posted: Updated:

Four lightning-sparked wildfires ignited over the weekend in Prescott National Forest.

A few of those fires are being actively managed in order to promote healthy soils for vegetation and reduce fuels for possible fires in the future.

The Perkinsville Fire, reported on Sunday,  stretches for 75 acres. It's burning about 10 miles east of Chino Valley.

The Twin Peaks Fire got its start on Friday and is located just east of Crown King in the Castel Creek Wilderness.

The Tex Canyon Fire, reported on Monday, is only two acres and is located north of the White Horse Subdivision.

The Golden Eagle Fire encompasses four acres. It was reported on Saturday and is located just north of Palace Station.
