Three suspected burglars arrested following chase

KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -

Three suspects were taken into custody after a reported aggravated burglary and vehicle pursuit.

Kansas City, KS, police were called about 3 a.m. Monday to the 3400 block of Everett Avenue.

When officers arrived on scene, the suspects had already fled the area. None of the victims were injured during the incident.

Authorities then received a tip about 6:15 a.m. in regards to the suspect location. They were located in the area of South 37th Street and Metropolitan Avenue where a vehicle pursuit was initiated.

Officers pursued the vehicle to North 94th Street and Riverview Avenue where the suspects wrecked and ran on foot to a wooded area.

After a perimeter was set, officers were able to locate one of the suspects and take him into custody.

A short time later the Kansas Highway Patrol's helicopter located the second suspect in the area of North 86th and Riverview Avenue where he was also was taken into custody.
