Suspect surrenders on attempted murder charge

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The suspected gunman in a shooting July 10 in the parking lot of the Walmart Neighborhood Store that left a man critically injured turned himself in at police headquarters on Tuesday night.

Cager Waggoner VI, 25, has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting O'Bryan Williams, 29, of Gallatin, during an apparent drug-related argument.

Waggoner, a convicted cocaine felon, allegedly shot Williams multiple times.

Police recovered a bag of marijuana at the scene.

Waggoner is being held on $250,000 bond. Williams remains hospitalized at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
