RALEIGH, N.C. -

A Cary teen and a tumbling group from Wilmington are among three groups competing Wednesday on NBC's Today Show for a chance to go straight to the "America's Got Talent" live shows.

"America's Got Talent" and the Today Show selected the three acts from thousands of submissions from across the country.

In addition to Punjabi dance group Cornell Bhangra, Wilmington-based Power House Tumblers and domino artists Domino Effect will vie for a chance to compete in the live shows of the popular NBC talent show. Cary's Nathan Heck, 13, is one of four teens from different states who comprise Domino Effect.

Voting opens at noon Wednesday after fans have the opportunity to tune in to watch the three acts perform live on the "TODAY" Plaza. Voting will run through July 29.

The "America's Got Talent" live shows kick off at 9 p.m. on July 29 at Radio City Music Hall. The winner of the Today Show competition will be announced July 30 during the "AGT" live results show.
