Missing Kansas City man found safe

Posted: Updated:

The search is over for a Kansas City man who has been missing for several days.

Jose Padilla, 41, was found about 6:45 a.m. Monday after Sugar Creek police received a phone call about suspicious activity on Cement City Road and Highway 291.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found Padilla walking and released him to his family. He was a little disoriented but OK, police said.

There has been no word on where he has been or why he went missing.

Padilla had not been seen since July 10 when he was spotted walking near Southwest Boulevard and Washington Street.

His family reported him missing July 6 when he did not report to his job at the Jackson County Detention Center.
