NEW YORK (WABC/CNN) - Police say a woman was killed by a subway train as she fumbled for her iPod on Saturday afternoon.

Authorities say the 21-year-old was leaning over the tracks, looking for her Apple device, when she was hit by the train. They say she was pronounced dead nine minutes later.

Trains were rerouted Saturday as officials investigated the accident.
