TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is on the scene of a shooting in the Foothills.

This happened at an apartment complex next to Catalina Foothills High School in the 4500 block of East Sunrise.

Deputies on the scene say two victims, a man and a woman, were leaving the complex when someone came up to their Silver Honda Civic and opened fire. Authorities say right now it appears this person allegedly was waiting for them.

Both victims were able to get out of their car and back into the complex. Paramedics arrived and took them to UMC. The extent of their injuries is not known at this time.

The person who shot them is still on the run. Authorities do not have a description of the suspected shooter.

Those with information on this incident are asked to call 88-CRIME or the Pima County Sheriff's Department.
