PRAIRIE VILLAGE, KS (KCTV/AP) -

Two men are dead and four others were seriously injured when their SUV overturned on a county road in southwest Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 20-year-old Mark Harken of Prairie Village, KS, was driving a 2000 Ford Explorer in Benton County at 2:15 p.m. Saturday when he lost control of the vehicle and drove off the left side of the road.

They were on their way to the Lake of the Ozarks.

Harken and 18-year-old Clayton Miller of Kansas City, MO, were killed in the crash.

David Draxler, 19, Lukas Fleming, 20, Gage Hamilton, 20, and Evan Westhoff, 20, all from the Kansas City metropolitan area were flown to three regional hospitals in serious condition.

The community at the Prairie Village YMCA is mourning the loss of Miller, a dedicated lifeguard.

Miller sent his boss an email about a month ago, preparing for a missions trip to serve the youth of Argentina.

"Between lifeguarding for a living, fostering adorable and helpless kittens and donating bone marrow to a blood cancer patient I found out about through a St. Peter's parish drive, I've been pretty busy with this whole 'nice guy' act. And now, I want to do more!" said YMCA Director Ashley Dooley-Wohlgemuth as she read the email out loud.

Miller never missed a day of work and always stepped up to fill in, working the shift no one wanted, the Fourth of July.

"You know everybody came in with a saddened heart. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family," Dooley-Wohlgemuth said. "We want people to remember him (as) the dedicated great young man he was, not the tragic accident. He will be missed."

Miller's family is working on setting up a memorial fund in his honor. They are still getting funeral arrangements ready.

Harken was a Boy Scout and head-team builder of robotics at Shawnee Mission East. His family is asking that donations go to Boy Scouts of America Troop 91 for camp scholarships.
