KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -

Police are asking for the public's help in figuring out who is responsible for the deaths of two men found dead in a cemetery in mid-June.

They say they know someone out there knows something about the double homicide and they are asking them to speak up.

Naythan T. Walton, 23, and 25-year-old Lydell Irvin were found dead in the 1200 Block of Esplanade Avenue in Kansas City, KS, in the early morning hours of June 19.

Their bodies were discovered in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Police can't say what the men were doing in the cemetery, but Irvin was driving a black 2012 Toyota Camry with black tinted windows the day he was killed. Police say someone else was seen driving Irvin's car after his death and that's who police want to find.

Police say they have developed some persons of interest, but they need the public's help.

Irvin's mother joined police in asking for some closure to her son's death.

"Put yourself in my shoes. I just want the truth. Don't be afraid. You can call anonymously to the TIPS Hotline. Just see how I'm feeling," Naomi Irvin said.

Lydell Irvin's car was found abandoned and burned out in a park in KCK.

Anyone with information can call the TIPS Hotline and remain anonymous. The number is 816-474-TIPS.
