Accused Jewish community shooter reportedly dying

OVERLAND PARK, KS (KCTV) -

The white supremacist accused of killing three at two Jewish community centers in April is very ill with a serious lung disease.

Sources tell KCTV5 that Glenn Frazier Cross, 73, who also goes by Glenn Miller, is quite ill. The longtime smoker has chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

The Kansas City Star reported that Cross is being housed in the Johnson County jail's medical wing and is dying.

Cross is accused of killing 69-year-old William Corporon and his 14-year-old grandson, Reat Griffin Underwood, in the parking lot of the Jewish Community Center in Overland Park. Prosecutors say Miller then went to the nearby Village Shalom senior care facility and killed Terri LaManno, 53, of Kansas City.

Miller, 73, of Aurora, MO, is charged with one count of capital murder in the deaths of Corporon and Underwood and one count of first-degree murder in LaManno's slaying. He also faces three counts of attempted murder and is jailed on $10 million bail.

The capital murder charge would allow prosecutors to seek the death penalty under Kansas law.
