KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A man high on PCP attempted to carjack four drivers and shot into a Kansas City Area Transportation Authority bus.

Numerous calls were made to 911 about 6:20 p.m. when witnesses saw the man running around waving a gun near 63rd Street and Prospect Avenue.

No one was injured when the man fired the shot into the bus.

A woman who works at nearby Research Medical Center described seeing the man waving the gun and a second man also running in the area with a gun. About 20 people gathered at a nearby gas station.

The woman said she tried for about two minutes to get through to 911 but was unsuccessful with the phone lines jammed. She said she heard police cars responding with their sirens on.

Police said they took the man who was high into custody and he was taken to the municipal jail.

The man allegedly broke out the window on a parked car.
