KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Two suspects are in custody after leading Kansas City police on a chase.

Officers responded about 2:30 p.m. Sunday to East 39th Street and Garfield Avenue where a suspected carjacking was reported.

A driver sped off when police approached the car on scene. The car reached speeds of up to 90 mph.

The suspect hit two cars at East Gregory Boulevard and U.S. Highway 71. The impact broke the axle of the stolen car, and the suspects then tried to run.

Police eventually caught them both. One of the suspects was treated after bitten by a police dog. There were no other injuries.
