Fard "The Messenger" Muhammad, an MMA Lightweight, joined the Sanctuary Management team as the first Mixed Martial Art Contender.

LAS VEGAS, June 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Roy Jones Jr and Keith Veltre of Sanctuary Management have expanded their realm of fighters management to Mixed Martial Arts by signing Fard Muhammad.  The contract was signed with the Nevada Athletic commission on Friday, June 13, 2014; beginning a new era in management for the duo.  Fard "The Messenger" Muhammad signed a contract for 3 years with Sanctuary Management.

Born in Beverly Hills, California, Fard was trained early on as a fighter.  At age 3 he was trained in karate by Stave Saunders; Actor Wesley Snipes' instructor.  Shortly afterwards, Muhammad began training in boxing under the instruction of Harry Espinoza, an American National Boxing champ.  By the age of 5 he was sparring daily and by the age of 15 he had defeated over 100 opponents. The day Fard turned 16, he lost the use of his dominant hand in a house fire and learned to fight only with his left. With determination and perseverance, Fard Muhammad regained use of his right hand and to this day trains with champions including Adam Fish T.C. Rittenbough, Unas Geminni, John Lewis and now, Roy Jones Jr. 

At age 20, Fard Muhammad made his MMA debut defeating Donavan Freelow, a Tuff Nuff Champion.  After his third fight he joined Carlson Gracie Team Cavalcanti.  Recently Muhammad debuted as a professional Fighter in Laughlin, defeating Ron Isbell by 3rd round decision.  Roy Jones Jr and Keith Veltre heard rumor of the style and determination of this young fighter and attended his match in Laughlin.  After seeing Fard "The Messenger" Muhammad in action, it took only days bring him aboard to Sanctuary Management.  Keith Veltre stated, "We are so excited to bring Fard to the Sanctuary Management family.  He is someone that possesses extraordinary talent and a wide range of weapons to become a champion.  Fard Muhammad brings excitement to the ring and was born to fight and inflict pain."  Fard Muhammad is a lightweight; fighting at 155.  He will be training out of Roy Jones Jr Fight Academy located at 3874 Silvestri Lane  Las Vegas, NV 89120.  He is available for interviews and sponsorship inquiries.
