KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Boulevardia, the first-ever event celebrating Kansas City, beer, music and food, begins Friday and goes through Sunday.

The three-day urban street festival will take place in the historic West Bottoms area, specifically in and around the multi-leveled 12th Street viaduct.

"Our No. 1 priority is to create a festival that will make Kansas City proud," said Jeremy Ragonese, Boulevard's director of marketing, in a news release.

It will be highlighted with a craft beer and food sampling experience, but will also include family activities, entertainment and shopping.

Performers include Chain Gang of 1974, Quixotic, The Grisly Hand and Hearts of Darkness. Food trucks in attendance include Taco Republic, Brooks Concessions, Street Wings and Jerusalem Cafe. Beyond Boulevard beers, there will be brews offered from Big Sky Brewing Co., Lagunitas, Stone Brewing Co. and many more. Local and regional distilleries will also be featured.

With the exception of single day general admission tickets, the event is sold out. There were $75 "Taps & Tastes" unlimited sampling tickets and $25 three-day passes previously available, but they were purchased quickly.
