Eight-Screen, 40,000-Square-Foot Luxury Movie "Escape" iPic Theaters to Open at Intracoastal Mall in North Miami Beach Fall 2015, One of Three iPic Theaters Planned for Greater Miami Area

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla., June 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- iPic Theaters, the fastest-growing luxury movie-watching experience in the nation, announced that it has signed a lease with prominent South Florida/New York developer Dezer Development to build an eight-screen, 40,000-square-foot theater in North Miami Beach's Intracoastal Mall. One of three iPic Theaters under development in the Greater Miami area, iPic Theaters North Miami Beach will begin construction within 90 days and is slated to open fall 2015.

"The residents of North Miami Beach, Aventura and Sunny Isles Beach demand the best, and we know they will embrace the style and luxury iPic has to offer," says President and CEO of iPic Entertainment Hamid Hashemi. "We're excited to be working with Dezer Development and look forward to complementing the premier options in the Intracoastal Mall."

Acquired by Dezer Development in December, the Intracoastal Mall is on a 26-acre site alongside the Intracoastal Waterway, comprising 234,000 square feet of shops, restaurants and commercial entities, in addition to 1,500 linear feet of waterfront.

"I couldn't envision a more exceptional brand to join one of the state's most sought-after retail destinations," says Michael Dezer, CEO of Dezer Development. "We look forward to offering a world-class entertainment venue to the North Miami Beach community."

"I'm very happy that a top-notch developer, Dezer Development, has entered into a partnership with a high-quality theater operator like iPic Entertainment," adds North Miami Beach Mayor George Vallejo.  "Our entire city, and especially residents in the adjacent area, will benefit from this association."

iPic prides itself on transforming the movie-going experience into the ultimate night out. Premium seat ticketholders relax in large leather seats and may purchase food and beverage from Tanzy Express and carry it into the theater. Premium Plus seating features oversized leather recliners, pillows, blankets and service-call buttons that summon ninja-like servers to deliver Tanzy Express offerings.

iPic North Miami Beach will feature eight auditoriums with seating for 50 to 90 people. All auditoriums will be equipped with 4K digital cinema technology. Seats can be reserved on www.ipic.com or with the iPic App.

iPic North Miami Beach's in-theater dining concept, Tanzy Express, will be helmed by Chef Sherry Yard, corporate vice president of culinary direction for iPic Entertainment, and award-winning mixologist and master sommelier Adam Seger. Yard, named among the "Who's Who of Food & Beverage in America" by the James Beard Foundation, has served as executive pastry chef in Wolfgang Puck's empire for nearly 20 years. In addition to developing the Tanzy Express menu, Yard and Seger will contribute to a new iPic-owned restaurant concept at iPic North Miami Beach.

A membership program offers iPic guests discount pricing, priority notification of tickets, access to movie showings and the ability to earn points. For more information, visit www.ipictheaters.com/become-a-member.aspx.
