LAWRENCE, KS (KCTV/AP) -

A 24-year-old Topeka man was charged Monday in connection with a deadly shooting at a Topeka park.

Jourdan Mickel Hunt was charged on Monday with first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated battery. He was arrested Sunday morning at a Lawrence house.

Hunt is accused of unleashing gunfire at Freedom Valley Park that killed 20-year-old Germaul Rayton of Topeka and injured two others. Police say the victim and suspect knew each other. The two survivors, who are 18 and 21 years old, were treated and released Saturday.

The park is on Topeka's southeast side. The shooting was reported about 4:10 p.m.

On Sunday, Topeka police, with the assistance of tactical teams with the Lawrence Police Department surrounded a home at West 27th and Louisiana streets, located across the street from South Middle School.

Sgt. Byron Endsley, a Topeka Police Department spokesman, said police executed a search warrant at the home in relation to Saturday's homicide, the city's second of the year. Hunt was arrested during that search.

Police said they were looking for a man driving a red SUV with tinted windows. A similar vehicle was seen in the driveway of the Lawrence home.
