Carter County deputies investigating trailer fire on Lovers Lane

CARTER COUNTY, TN (WJHL) - Watauga Volunteer, Stoney Creek Volunteer, Hampton Volunteer and West Carter Volunteer fire departments responded to a trailer fire on Lovers Lane in Carter County Wednesday.

According to Carter County emergency communications dispatchers, the report of a fire at 340 Lovers Lane came in around 3:43 p.m.

News Channel 11's Lauren Haviland, currently on scene in Carter County, was told the fire may have started in the dryer of the trailer.

No one was reportedly injured in the fire, but the trailer was destroyed.

According to the homeowner of the trailer, four people and a dog were inside the trailer.

Nearby neighbors and the American Red Cross will reportedly assist the trailer fire victims this evening.

No other trailers were affected but the fire, but power to the trailer park was knocked out and electrical crews are working to restore power at this time.

Carter County Sheriff's Office deputies are investigating the fire.
