A 44-year-old man died during a struggle with KCK police in the 500 block of Stewart Avenue.
On Friday, officers identified the man as KCK resident Craig J. McKinnis.
Officers stopped McKinner about 6:10 p.m. Thursday for a traffic violation. Police determined that McKinnis was wanted on criminal charges.
The man attempted to flee and struggled with attempts to arrest him, police said. During the struggle, officers determined he needed medical attention. They rendered aid and called paramedics to the scene.
The man was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
