FINDLAY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

There's a new way Findlay police are working to catch criminals. Every week, the department is posting individuals' pictures and alleged crimes on Facebook, asking the public to help them crack the case.

Findlay police aren't just searching for criminals on the streets, they're hitting the web, too.

If you log on to the Findlay Police Department's Facebook page, you'll see a new mug shot posted every week, as part of an effort to decrease the number of people on the Findlay-Hancock County's most wanted list. Each time someone's picture is posted, followers are encourage to "share" it on their page.

Police hope Facebook followers will be extra eyes on the streets and help lead to more arrests through their tips.
