FBI investigates Northland bank robbery

GLADSTONE, MO (KCTV) -

Authorities are investigating a bank robbery Monday morning.

The FBI said the robbery was reported about 10:45 a.m. at the First Bank of Missouri, 7001 North Oak Trafficway.

FBI spokeswoman Bridget Patton said a man in his mid-30s, approximately 5'10" and about 180 pounds, walked into the bank and gave the teller a note demanding money.

He did not show a weapon and no one was injured. He fled the bank and headed south on North Oak Trafficway with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man was wearing a light-colored Kansas City Royals ball cap with a dark blue shirt that was untucked and unbuttoned with a white T-shirt and jeans.

    Police in Olathe are investigating what they're calling an attempted homicide.  Officers reported to the 1700 block of North Lennox Street at around 7:06 p.m. on Monday evening.  Investigators discovered an adult female and three juveniles inside the home requiring medical attention.  The woman told police the juveniles "ingested a substance meant to harm them."
