Student reports sexual battery on KU campus

Campus police are investigating after a 20-year-old student reported she was sexually battered.

The student told officers she accepted a ride from a man she did not know near West 14th and Ohio streets about 2:20 a.m. Sunday.

The man touched the student as he headed west on Jayhawk Boulevard, campus police said.

The man then drove south on Naismith Drive and west on 15th Street where he stopped the car in front of Learned Hall where the woman got out.

The suspect is described as having short hair and a heavy accent. The vehicle is described as a maroon 80s or 90s sedan with cloth seats.
