Company joins the ZigBee Alliance after developing wireless products for Smart Energy, Home Automation and Retail Stores
eInfochips, a leading product design services company today announced that it has joined the ZigBee Alliance as a Design House Member, to broaden its role in the ZigBee ecosystem. eInfochips has already designed multiple products with ZigBee technology, including the world's first ZigBee-enabled IP camera, for the USA's largest grocery retailer - Kroger. They have also engineered ZigBee-based products for Home Automation, Security and Smart Energy applications. The ZigBee Alliance Membership will enable eInfochips to accelerate development cycles for ZigBee-powered Products.
"The ZigBee Alliance is geared to provide broad line design houses like eInfochips with the information and tools they need to leverage ZigBee standards across multiple industries." said Ryan Maley, Director of Strategic Marketing, ZigBee Alliance. "Design houses play an important role in our ecosystem and we are pleased to welcome eInfochips to the Alliance."
According to Parag Mehta, Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer at eInfochips, "Our ZigBee-powered solutions for Retail, Home Automation and Smart Energy are tangible evidence that the market for ZigBee-based products is taking off. We see ZigBee as a key enabler to the last-mile connectivity for the Internet-of-Things ecosystem."
The next generation of products will be connected to the Internet, and will be accessible from anywhere in the world. Advanced sensors that monitor critical parameters will be integrated to aggregation systems that will analyse, report and also take actions on data that is made available. This transition from isolated products to integrated systems as part of the Internet-of-Things revolution will change millions of lives in the next decade. eInfochips will enable this transition as part of the global engineering community designing advanced solutions for Energy, Home, Office, Retail and Industrial deployments.
A prime example of eInfochips global engineering delivery is the RSI architecture that culminated two years of global collaboration with Kroger to develop the underlying technology products for retail stores of the 21st century. The results of this phase of development are new wireless devices (Cameras, Scanners, Door Sensors, and more to come) featuring ZigBee wireless technology, and Vigil360, a new video management software kernel designed specifically for RSI. Retailers can register for a pilot trial of the RSI solution from www.retail-site-intelligence.com.
