Kansas City police have identified the body of a man found inside a pickup truck submerged in a pond at a Northland apartment complex. The man has been identified as 42-year old Vincent E. Reynolds. Witnesses said Reynolds lived in the area and had been missing for a week.
Police said they received a call at about 5:30 p.m. Monday of a possible vehicle in the water at the Willow Lake apartments at 6000 NW Prairie View Rd.
An underwater rescue team was dispatched a short time later. The team pulled the body from the truck at about 6:40 p.m.
Police Chief Daryl Forte confirmed the information in a tweet on Monday evening saying the investigation was ongoing.
