KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Police have a man in custody tonight suspected of robbing a bank late Monday afternoon.

Authorities say a man armed with a handgun walked in and robbed the Bank of America located near the intersection of 85th Street and Holmes Road shortly before 4:30 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

Minutes later after getting witness information, police began to follow and pursue a silver-colored Ford Taurus near East 63rd Street and Meyer Boulevard. The pursuit never reached high speeds.

There were two men in the car, which pulled over near Meyer Boulevard and Bellefontaine Avenue about 15 minutes later.

At the scene, it appeared two persons were in handcuff, but Kansas City police confirm tonight that only one man has been arrested.
