Construction season ramps up on Ohio Turnpike

(Toledo News Now) -

In a sure sign of spring, road construction work is ramping up in the area.

Work will start this week on many stretches of the Ohio Turnpike in Northwest Ohio.

In Fulton and Lucas counties, resurfacing will cause different traffic patterns and reduced speed limits between mileposts 43.3 and 55.5.

In Wood and Lucas counties third lane widening and bridge work will slow things down between mileposts 58 and 64.5. Many secondary roads will be affected by this work as well.

Base pavement replacement between mileposts 101.2 and 107.3 in Sandusky County will create some different traffic patterns as well.

All of these projects are expected to wrap up in November.
