ODESSA, MO (KCTV) -
For two months, the family of a missing Oak Grove woman could only wonder what had happened.
Last week they got the answer they feared, when 28-year-old Amber Bradley-Couch's body was found only a couple blocks from the Grain Valley bar where she had been last seen.
Bradley-Couch had recently moved to Oak Grove.
She had spent the last several years, and most of her young daughter's life, in Odessa, and that was where her family is now finding a permanent way to remember her.
"She was full of life," said Bradley-Couch's sister, Angela Trent.
It is hard for Trent, and another sister, Kathy Hulinsky, to realize Bradley-Couch is gone, leaving behind a 4-year-old daughter, who'll have too few memories of mom.
So the family is posting a plaque in Chestnut Park in Odessa, where mother and daughter used to hang out, and where little Jade can always go to remember her.
"Jade went everywhere with her," said Trent. "Jade was her little bug, as you'll see in the picture, and she's 4, not going to have a mom anymore."
The family's planning a second memorial in Grain Valley, where a man out walking his dog, found Bradley-Couch's body last week. That was after she had been missing for two months.
"It's been hard, it's been a roller coaster, one thing is at least now we know where she's at," Trent said.
The investigation is still ongoing, but Bradley-Couch's sisters now don't believe it was foul play.
After spending the evening at a bar, her family thinks she may have gotten turned around, then froze in the cold winter weather.
Investigators believe heavy snow and brush kept her body hidden, while they searched so close by. She was just down the street from the bar where she was last seen, and only a few hundred yards from the Grain Valley police station.
The family doesn't blame anyone for the delay. They only wish they had more time with her.
"Make sure you tell people that you love them, because you never know when it's going to be the last time," Hulinsky said.
Investigators are waiting for a toxicology report to come back before determining the cause of death and ruling out foul play all together.
Bradley-Couch's memorial service will be held Thursday.
