Police have identified the man killed on Friday night in a deadly shooting just south of downtown Hamilton.
Police first received reports of the shooting around 9:30 p.m. Friday evening. Reports indicated that an individual had been shot near the intersection of Front and Pershing Streets.
Officials arriving on the scene found 24-year-old Deandrew Lavon Jackson suffering from a gunshot wound. Jackson was flown to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment. He was pronounced dead soon after arrival.
Authorities blocked off a large crime scene around the intersection, but were paying particular attention to the area around a bench at a bus stop.
Hamilton Police said they are investigating the case as a homicide. No suspect information has been released at this time.
