Museum Center celebrate Women's History Month

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The Diana Exhibit is one of Cincinnati Museum's most popular exhibits and FOX19's Kelly Rippin says it also has a connection to some influential Cincinnati women.

March is Women's History Month and one of the best places to go is the Cincinnati Museum Center!

Just as Princess Diana continues to inspire people globally, Cincinnati Museum Center hopes to inspire people locally with a companion gallery, Daughters of the Queen City.

Items from the collection illustrate a sampling of philanthropic efforts by Cincinnati women from the 1850s-1960s.

The gallery recognizes stories of philanthropic work throughout the 19th and 20th centuries.

Women featured in the gallery:

  • Olivia Procter Benedict
  • Helen Pogue Fisk
  • Josephine Lytle Foster
  • Carol Ann Homan Haile
  • Louise Dieterle Nippert
  • Jennie Porter
  • Mary M. Emery
  • Patricia Corbett
  • Maria Longworth Nichols Storer
  • Virginia Keys Jones Coffey
