Wyandotte County commissioner censured for second time

Posted: Updated:
KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -

A Unified Government of Wyandotte County commissioner has been censured for a second time for his conduct.

The county's ethics administrator found that Tarence Maddox should be censured by their ethics commission. It's over an incident at a convenience store in January where Maddox used his title as commissioner to threaten a clerk and said he would report the store if he were not paid money he believed he was owed.

Maddox was censured last October over his behavior, including an incident at Kansas City's Legoland Discovery Center where he got into a disturbance with the store's manager over coupons and the price of admission to Legoland.

Maddox's term with the board of commissioners began in 2011 and goes until 2015.
