KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A violent road rage incident sent two people to the hospital when a truck slammed into them.

Police say it all started about 4:15 p.m. Wednesday near East 85th Street and Prospect Avenue after one driver cut off another.

Words were exchanged and one followed the other home about a block away.

Kansas City police say one driver pulled out and gun and fired a warning shot. The other driver drove off and hit two men with his truck.

A pedestrian suffered a traumatic head injury after being struck by the truck, while a second person suffered an arm injury. Both men hit have been released from the hospital.

Jowan Jones heard the shots.

"This is usually a quiet neighborhood. Nothing usually happens around here," Jones said.

The driver who hit the two men called police and met them a few blocks away from this scene.

It is unclear if he will face any charges.
