KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Fiorella's Jack Stack Barbecue in the Freight House area of downtown Kansas City caught fire Wednesday.

The fire was first reported about 4:30 p.m. on West 22nd Street, about two blocks west of Main Street.

The general manager for Jack Stack said the blaze started in an area above their kitchen where they are doing construction for an expansion. They did evacuate the restaurant.

The fire was under control shortly before 5 p.m. and fire officials are working to figure out the exact cause.

The Freight House building also contains the restaurants Lidia's and Grunauer. Both of the other two restaurants weren't affected and remain open Wednesday evening.
