Oscar picks and the Cincinnati Zoo, Friday on FOX19

Posted: Updated:

You're waking up to a clear morning but beware – it's cold outside! Wind chills are below zero and a weak system could bring snowflakes or rain. Here's what you can expect on the FOX19 Morning News on Friday:

It's Oscar weekend and we want to know your picks for best actor, actress and picture. Dan and Jacki will also be sharing their favorites and making some friendly bets.

Our resident financial expert Nathan Bachrach will be here to answer your questions about life insurance. What happens if your policy is ending or how do you find out a life insurance beneficiary? Nathan will have all the answers!

It's Friday, so that means the Cincinnati Zoo will be here! Tune in at 8:45 to see what creature Thane Maynard brings to the studio today.

Any Dr. Suess fans out there? We'll be featuring some items for a Dr. Suess birthday party, plus the Hilton Netherland Plaza will be here making a jazz-up version of green eggs and ham. Who knows, maybe even the Cat in the Hat will make an appearance!

Today is National Rare Disease Awareness Day. 12-year-old Joey Holt from Fort Thomas is bringing awareness to a condition that personally impacts his life. Tune in to learn about his inspiriting mission.

Would you pay $200 for a toothbrush? Believe it or not, it's a real thing that was just unveiled at a global mobile conference. P&G will be in studio to tell us more about the toothbrush that links to your smart phone.

Happy Friday!
